New for the StreamServe range

Exstream Platform Server-based 21.3

Aix en Provence, 7 December 2021.

As we posted last week last week, OpenText World 2021 was an eventful one for all of the publisher's software suites, tespecially for the Customer Experience Management suite, where workshops were held on omnichannel personalised (customer) communication.

The protagonists of the Output Managament solution StreamServe will be delighted, because a new impetus has been given to them. The solution will continue to support their growth and their strategic decisions related to customer communication, in terms of functionality, architecture and budgets. Indeed, the OpenText Exstream suite, which includes the Exstream Platform Server-based offering (historically StreamServe) and the Exstream Cloud Edition offering (Cloud-native software that can run anywhere"as we can read on the OpenText website), brings a batch of innovations that are part of the editor's ongoing approach.

First and foremost, users of the StreamServe solution will be able to cond that the support of templates, developed from the historical designer PageOutdesigner, has been maintained with the latest version Exstream Platform Server-based 21.3.

Please bear in mind that this cannot be used to create new templates. From now on, only the StoryTeller designer will be able to help you create new templates. StoryTeller is full of advanced features: serpentines (multiple columns), all kinds of graphics, complex multi-page tables, even designing forms with inline help, drop-down lists, controlled input, action buttons to reset input fields or print the document.

Finally, for users who have set up "collaborative and interactive" documents, Exstream Platform Server-based 21.3 provides an advanced migration tool, capable of taking over all the configurations of the templates created by the business users.

The OpenText roadmap places particular emphasis on the Web Retouch module. This is generally used to rework a document during an interactive exchange in an agency. Web Retouch provides resources (clauses, paragraphs, images) according to the user profile and the document context. There is also the possibility of returning a document from the Collector document retention system.

For existing customers using the original StreamServe solution (all versions), who are considering outsourcing their Output Managament infrastructure to the cloud, a technological migration allows them to upgrade their existing applications to the Exstream Cloud Native platform. This platform provides web-only interfaces to cover the design, implementation and lifecycle of collaborative and interactive documents.
